Terms of Service

When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party.

This section is the terms of sale for everything bought through Gridely. The price and what it includes are shown before you pay, at checkout.

What we sell:

• Single chart — a one-off payment that unlocks one chart for good, exportable as both PDF and SVG, with no watermark. Correcting stitches on that same chart afterwards stays covered; redrawing it into a substantially different chart is a different chart, and a new purchase.
• Export Pass — a one-off payment granting 30 days of unlimited exports and raised size and storage limits. It does not renew and you are never charged again for it.
• Studio — a monthly subscription granting unlimited exports and raised limits for as long as it is active.
• Creator — a monthly subscription granting room for more saved projects. It does not include watermark-free exports.

Payment and invoices: Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Every purchase produces an invoice you can retrieve from your account page. Prices are in euros. VAT is not charged — TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI.

Immediate delivery and your right of withdrawal: What you bought decides how this works, so the two cases are separate. A single chart is digital content, delivered the moment the payment succeeds. Before paying you confirm that you are asking for it immediately and that you understand your 14-day right of withdrawal may end once delivery begins, where the law allows (Code de la consommation, article L221-28). We record the moment you confirmed it.

An Export Pass, a plan and a pack of credits are not delivered in one piece. A plan is a service performed over time, and a credit only becomes a chart when you spend it. These start as soon as you pay, and we ask you to give up nothing for that — there is no box to tick, your 14-day right of withdrawal is untouched, and the refund terms below sit on top of it.

When we refund anyway: Where that waiver applies we are not required to refund. We would rather keep you than keep a few euros, so within 14 days of a payment we will refund, on request:

• Unused subscription days — a renewal you did not mean to keep, where nothing has been exported since it was charged.
• An unused Export Pass — a Pass you have not exported anything with.
• Unspent chart credits — credits still sitting in your balance.
• Anything charged in error — a duplicate payment, or a chart that will not export because of a fault on our side. Refunded in full, whenever you notice it, not only inside the window above.

Outside those cases we will still read what happened and decide fairly. Ask us.

What a refund takes back: A refund reverses what it paid for. A refunded chart is locked again and exports with a watermark; a refunded plan or Pass ends immediately; a refunded credit pack loses its unspent credits. Charts you already unlocked with a credit stay yours — we do not claw back work already delivered. Files you downloaded before the refund stay on your device and we will not ask you to delete them. A partial refund is a goodwill gesture, not an undo: it withdraws nothing.

Cancelling a subscription: Cancel at any time from your account page, which opens Stripe's billing portal. No email, no notice period, no reason needed. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep everything until then, and those remaining days are not additionally refunded. An Export Pass needs no cancelling — it simply expires.

If a renewal payment fails: Your access continues while Stripe retries the card over the following days, and your account page tells you it is retrying. If it still fails, the plan ends and the account returns to the free tier. Nothing is passed to collections and no late fee is added.

Price changes: Prices may change. A change never affects a purchase already made, and an active subscription keeps its price until we tell you otherwise at least 30 days before the first renewal at the new one, so that cancelling first is always an option.

How to ask: Email us from the address on your account, or use the billing question link on your account page. We aim to answer within three business days. If a payment has gone wrong, please come to us before going to your bank: a chargeback takes weeks, costs us many times what a refund does, and once it is open we can no longer settle it by simply paying you back.

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Gridely and its licensors.

Your Content: You retain all of your ownership rights in the patterns and designs you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Publishing to the gallery: Publishing is optional, and you keep ownership of anything you publish. By publishing a pattern to the community gallery you grant every other user a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to view, save and download it, to make items from it, and to sell the physical items they make. That licence does not cover the pattern itself: nobody may redistribute, resell or republish the chart or its file, whether on its own or as part of a collection. You can withdraw a pattern from the gallery at any time, which stops it being offered to anyone new — it does not reach back to copies already saved or items already made.

You agree not to use the Service:

• In any way that violates any applicable national or international law or regulation.
• To transmit, or procure the sending of, any advertising or promotional material.
• To impersonate or attempt to impersonate Gridely, a Gridely employee, another user, or any other person or entity.
• In any way that infringes upon the rights of others, or in any way is threatening, fraudulent, or harmful.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

User-Initiated Termination: You may terminate your account at any time by using the "Delete Account" feature within your account settings. Upon deletion, your account data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We are always working to improve Gridely, which means the Service and its features may change over time. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, temporarily or permanently, at any time, with or without notice.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

In no event shall Gridely, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
